  1. One Year ED (student) Visa

     Students who enroll at our school in a one year course are eligible to apply for a one year non-immigrant ED visa. With this visa you do not have to leave Thailand every now and then but can stay here continually for one year. On arrival you will be permitted to stay for 90 days and then with a paperwork provided by our school you will be able to extend your stay every 90 days at the local immigration office for the duration of the course. At present extensions cost 1,900 Baht. You can enjoy studying Thai and at the same time not worrying about making any visa runs.

  1. When do your courses start?

  1. How often do I have to come to school?
  • Each lesson is 50 minutes
  • Private lesson you will need to study at least 4 lessons a week, we have two options:  2 days a week for 2 lessons or 1 day a week for 4 lessons.
  • Small Group lesson you will need to study 2-4 lessons a week.
  1. How do I apply?

Simply come to our school and bring your passport, recent 6 pictures

  1. How long do I have to wait for the visa?

First we will need to apply for a letter from the Thai Ministry of Education requesting a one year ED visa for you. It takes between 1- 2.5 weeks. Once you receive this letter you will need to go outside Thailand to one of the Thai consulates (most nationalities can go to Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Singapore, some nationalities like Indians, Chinese, Pakistanis and middle eastern countries will need to go back to their country) where you will be issued a one year non-immigrant ED visa. With this visa you will need to come back to us and we will apply for a second letter from the MOE certifying your enrolment, this letter allows you to make 90 day extensions at the local immigration office for the duration of the course. No visa runs are required at all.

  1. How many years can I study Thai at your school?

You can study at least 3 years, but you will be required to have a new visa for every year. Once this visa runs out and you are still interested in continuing your studies we will repeat the same procedure and you will be able to extend your study period for another year.

  1. Do you guarantee that I'll receive a 1 year non-immigrant ED visa?

Yes, we do. We are applying for this kind of visa for our students on a regular basis, thus we have a lot of experience. Our school is recognized by the Thai Ministry of Education as providing education to international students and promoting Thai language and culture. We can also help with obtaining this visa for people who are not in Thailand at present but who wish to come to Thailand in order to learn Thai, we can send all the paperwork to your country.   1. Can all nationalities apply to study Thai at your school and receive the ED visa?

Yes, all nationalities qualify. The Ministry of Education does not make any distinction among students coming form different countries. Europeans, Asians and Africans are treated the same and all are welcome to study Thai and learn about the Thai culture.

  1. Which Nationalities have to apply for the ED visa in their country?

India, China, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Iran, Middle Eastern countries

  1. Do you have any age restrictions?

Students of all ages between 12-99 qualify to study at our school. Students below 12 years old can also become our students but we are not able to obtain the ED visa for them.

  1. Can I change my tourist visa, visa on arrival (VOA), non-B visa or non-O visa into an ED(student) visa through your school in Thailand without going to a Thai consulate or embassy outside Thailand?

No, it is not possible, you will not be able to change your visa status in Thailand, you will need to obtain the ED(student)  visa in another country.

  1. Do I need to make a full payment or can I pay little by little for your courses?

You will need to make a full payment. We do not accept partial payments.

  1. How long can I study Thai at your school?

You can study Thai for 3 years and English for 2 years at our school  (English only for non-native English speakers)

  1. What if I do not receive my Ed(student) visa and therefore cannot study at your school?

Students who enroll in a one year course and apply for Ed (student) visa in order to study at our school and are refused the ED(student) visa from a Thai embassy or consulate will receive 100% refund of their fees.

  1. Can I work on a non-ED(student) visa during my studies at your school?

In order to work officially in Thailand you would need to have a work permit. At the moment work permits are not issued based on non-ED (student) visas. If you study Thai at our school and in the future find a job then at that time you will need to change your visa status. Your employer will be able to assist you with all the requirements.

  1. Do I need a non-ED (student) visa to study at your school?

No, you do not need one. You can have any type of visa and study at our school. If you have visa problems and need to have an ED (student) visa in order to study at our school we will assist you in obtaining one.

  1. Can I get a driving license and buy a car/motorbike having an ED(student)  visa?

Yes, you can. You will need a confirmation letter from our school that you are one or our students and with that you will be able to do the above.

  1. Can I open a bank account?

Yes, you can. Again, you will need a document from our school stating that you are one of our students.

  1. If I come with my wife/husband can she/he  be covered under my ED(student)  visa?

No, that is not possible. She/he will need to either join you in studying at our school or obtain a different type of visa.

  1. I have never been to Patong, Phuket  can you help me to find accommodation? Pick me up from the airport? And help me with other issues that may arise at the beginning of my stay?

Yes, we are able to do all the above. You will need to email us first after your enrollment and tell us what kind of help you need.

  1. Can you tell me what exactly I need to do if I want to enroll at your school while being outside of Thailand?

We will need:

    • Filled in application forms (email us to obtain them)
    • 6 photos (4*6 cm.)
    • A copy of every pages of your passport (without blank pages)

    • If you need Thailand Post, FedEx or DHL delivery it will be extra start from 2,000  Baht (It depends on which country).However we cannot guarantee the time of delivery as well as the actual delivery. Contact us or Book now
    • After about 2-3 weeks when we finish processing your paperwork with the Ministry of Education we will send your documents to your address. Once you receive it, you will need to take it to a Thai consulate to apply for an ED (student) visa. In some cases it is possible to post it to Thai consulate if you live too far from one. In this case you will need to call your consulate or embassy and check with them if they provide this kind of service.
